The first thing you need to look out for is the type of brush head that comes with it. There are two types – silicone and natural bristles. Silicone brushes tend to be gentler on your skin, but they don’t clean as well because they aren’t able to get into those hard-to-reach places like pores or hair follicles where dirt can hide away from a regular face wash. Natural bristle brushes have more movement in them so they do an excellent job at cleaning all over your face, including deep down inside those pores. However, these kinds of brushes may not be suitable if you suffer from acne or sensitive skin since their bristles could irritate your skin further instead of soothing it (which is why we recommend using our Clarisonic Mia 2).
