To prepare the perfect cappuccino without a cappuccino machine, you only need a few easy-to-find products: A milk frother, instant espresso powder and, of course, warm milk and hot water.

Did you know that there are cappuccino templates? To make the made coffee look even more beautiful, a stencil can be held over the milk foam and the cocoa powder is sprinkled over it in a desired motif.

First, the water is boiled, depending on whether in a kettle or very primitively in a small pot on a cooker. Then about one to two teaspoons of instant espresso powder are added to the cup and the hot water is poured in thirds. Then stir with the spoon until the powder is completely dissolved. First of all, they have one thing in common: milk and coffee are essential components of all three drinks. Due to the high milk content, they have a rather low caffeine content. The clear differences lie in the mixing ratio, the preparation method, the appearance and, not to forget, the taste. Cappuccino is usually drunk from a thick-walled capuccino cup. Espresso serves as the basis, with the same amount of milk and milk foam added. The decisive factor in this drink is what happens to the milk.

Did you know that Italians only drink cappuccino for breakfast? After that, they switch to espresso. The reason for this is an increased lactose intolerance among southern Europeans. So this habit of drinking only one cappuccino a day has crept in.

In usual cafés, the milk is frothed so that it has a creamy consistency and the layers blend into each other. A special pouring technique combines the crema of the espresso with the foam of the milk to create the unique cappuccino milk cap. With latte macchiato, the milk is foamed a little less.
