Conventional 4G router or Dual Band?

Operation is simple, the 2.4GHz frequency is less powerful, but has a greater range: 70m² indoors. However, as this frequency is used in various equipment, the interference is higher.

The 5Ghz frequency offers faster signal, but with short range up to 35m². The Dual Band router switches frequencies as needed and is ideal if you need a powerful device. If this is not your case, opt for a simple 4G router.


Another feature that deserves your attention is the number of antennas of the 4G router. You can find models with one to eight internal or external antennas, and the higher the number of antennas, the better the connection and stability of the wireless network.

However, a larger number of antennas can reduce the vertical range of the Internet signal, which can be unattractive if you want to distribute the mobile network in two or more floors.
